Family pay tribute to “beautiful, kind and talented” daughter

The family of a woman who died following a single vehicle collision on A5086 at Moor Row on Thursday 8 January have paid tribute to her life. Lauren-Emily Oliver, 28, from Whitehaven, was taken to hospital after the collision but sadly passed away in hospital. In a tribute, her family said: “In the early hours of Thursday 8 January 2026 our beautiful, kind, talented Lauren-Emily Oliver was a passenger in a tragic car incident. "Rest in peace our beautiful baby girl. Dad and grandad, Mia and Luna your fur babies, will be there waiting to go for a walk with you. "This isn't goodbye, it's just until we meet again. Jessica, Lee, Laura, Courtney , Kimberly, Nanna J, Layla , and me (mam) will hold your memories, laughter and pictures close in our hearts. Love you to the moon and beyond." The collision involved a black Vauxhall Corsa. Anyone with any information relating to the collision is asked to report online at  www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it - quoting incident number 17 of 8 January 2026. You can also phone on 101.
